The Life List
A Life List is about what you want for yourself in this lifetime. In other words, what do you want to do with the time that is left to you on this Earth?  What would you just love to do...try... have...or be...?  It's wonderfully useful and motivating to get clear and specific!
What if you're not sure what you want?  Take a look at the Life List guidelines below to get started. Let yourself dream. Let yourself imagine. Let yourself be really honest about your heartfelt desires, your secret dreams, and your biggest ideas about your potential.  Please bring this list to our first session.
The Life List Guidelines

What would you just love to do...try... have...or be...?  On a separate sheet of paper, list 25 things — or more — that you dream of being, doing or having in this lifetime. You can list short-, mid- or long-term goals, dreams, visions, wishes and desires. These things may be either material or non-material. Here are some examples:

To be:  inner and outer state of being
Examples:
  • to be peaceful, free, happy
  • to be accepting, compassionate, forgiving
  • to love oneself and/or others unconditionally
  • to experience one’s Divine Self and/or Higher Power
  • to be healthy, fit, slim and/or full of energy

To do:  fun, adventure, learning, and accomplishment
Examples:
  • travel
  • getting a degree
  • changing or evolving a career
  • accomplishment in a language, musical instrument, craft, sport, etc.
  • live in a particular city or environment
  • creating a new enterprise or organization
  • creating works of fine art, music or literaturepublic performance (music, acting, comedy) or public speaking
  • any activity, adventure or accomplishment that you dream of doing
To have:
Can be intangibles. Examples:
  • harmony with family, mutually loving partnership, supportive and enjoyable friends
  • a certain kind of clientel or boss
  • a peaceful home
  • financial security, ease, solvency, serenity, and/or independence
  • a particular lifestyle
Can be tangibles. Examples:
  • any material possession that you would love to own such as a house, car, garden, etc. Be specific!
  • a certain income or amount of money saved or invested
You can list ANYTHING you want!  Anything your heart desires!  THINK BIG!  This list is not about what you "need" or what you think is reasonable or possible — let yourself admit to wanting something, no matter what current limitations you perceive. Imagine what you would love to do/be/have...
    ...if anything were possible
...if it were impossible to fail
    ...if money were unlimited
...if you didn’t have to work
...if you had all the time in the world
...if no one else would judge or criticize you for it
...if no one else would approve of you for it, either
...if no one else would have any particular opinion or comment about it at all!
...if it were given to you, you’d take it and if you got it, you’d really want it
...if all the necessary help were available to you in order to make it happen...

What if you don’t know what you want?  Don’t  worry. Part of our work together is specifically designed to help you discover, and especially clarify, what you really want.  If you don’t know what you want, or if you can’t be very specific, write down how you want to FEEL about life and about what you create. Excited? Happy? Stimulated? Needed? Important? Appreciated? Inspired? Grateful? Amazed? Content? Calm? Connected?

What if you can’t think of 25 things? That’s fine. Let the list “perk”. Fill it in gradually over a few hours or days.... Listing a full 25 things is not required. It’s just a nice round figure as a suggestion.

What if you want more than 25 things?
Get some extra paper and list all of it!

You will not be obliged to share this list with anyone else. This work is not about someone telling you what to want or judging what you want. Let yourself be as honest as possible about naming what you want.

HAVE FUN. Remember, these are things you want! — things that would thrill you, that you would love to look back on at the end of your days, and say, “I’m so glad I.......”

Also, you are allowed to change your mind about this list:  let it develop, evolve and expand. So do not feel that this is IT and this is all you’re ever going to get!  This list is just a starting point for our work together.

So — what would you just love to do, to try, to have or to be?  Please bring your Life List (and a copy for me) to our first session in Coaching, Counseling or Creating Reality.

Coaching usually starts with a two-hour meeting where goals and desires are clarified, and strengths and passions are identified.  I help you establish a direction, devise a strategy, get organized (literally if necessary!) and parlay your strengths into success with step-by-step action plans.  Follow-up sessions in person or by telephone help you stay on track, deal with obstacles, identify and plan next action steps, and keep you motivated to pursue your objectives.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”  Coaching will challenge you, accompany you, motivate you and assist you in making greater choices for yourself and doing the things you’ve dreamt of, but perhaps do not dare to do alone.

Skilled and creative Life Coaching empowers you to transcend perceived limitations to achieve what was previously “impossible.”  Learn the power of The Law of Attraction to use your creative energy to
bring into reality what you really want in your life. Coaching, mixed with creative direction, helps you make your dreams come true, starting today.

Life coaching helps you create a balanced life of what's important. Who decides what is important?
