Holistic Hypnotherapy

The Inner Spiritual Journey

Reconnect with your own Higher Self for guidance, recovery, healing and the answers you seek.  Holistic hypnotherapy, also variously called “heart-centered,”  “soul-centered” or “alchemical” hypnotherapy, works at a profound level to resolve emotional, spiritual, psychological and physical issues.

This is not traditional hypnosis whereby I reprogram your subconscious.  Rather, it is an inner spiritual journey which allows you to hear and honor your true Self — your Higher Self. This is the eternal soul-aspect of yourself which knows who you really are, where you've been, why you're here and what you're here to do.  The Higher Self can help you clarify what you want, face and transcend your fears, and change your perspective to a higher consciousness.

Holistic Hypnotherapy has broad applications:

  • recovery from trauma, abuse and loss
  • physical and emotional healing
  • change unwanted thoughts and behaviors
  • foster forgiveness
  • resolve old and deep-seated issues
  • cultivate creativity and inspiration
  • clarify desires and objectives
  • decision-making
  • access memory
  • connecting with personal truth and purpose
  • spiritual growth
  • emotional maturation

This method can be a very profound, intense experience. It can be very joyful or touching. Every session is different for every person. I can't predict what will happen during a session but for most people it is a very worthwhile and effective experience.

A typical hypnotherapy session is scheduled for at least 90 minutes and many people schedule a two-hour session if they have a lot going on or if they are combining it with counseling or coaching.

In general I recommend starting with a "trilogy" of three sessions. The first session initiates a healing process, the second session helps assimilate it, and the third session completes it.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hypnotherapy

• How many sessions will I need to solve or cure my problem?

Hypnotherapy sometimes has a reputation for being a quick fix, which can create unrealistic expectations. The reality is that growth and healing are usually processes which require time. So when people ask me how many sessions they will need, I reply: However long it takes for you to face and drop the illusion of your fears, and accept the truth of yourself and your healing.  For those who are able and willing to commit to the process, I see very powerful and transformative results. For some people, just one session, or an occasional session, can be extremely useful.

• Can anyone be hypnotized?

Anyone who is willing can be hypnotized, except for babies and the mentally handicapped.

Although anyone can be hypnotized, my method is not for everyone. This method is particularly good for people who consider themselves to be, or opening to be, intuitive, creative, aware, sensitive, and/or spiritual.

• Will I remember what happens during the session?

Yes. In hypnosis, you are not asleep or unconscious; you are in an altered state of consciousness.  A part of your mind will be observing and remembering the experience.

• Can I record the session?

Yes, but you will have to bring your own recording equipment as I don't have any.

• I've tried hypnosis before and it didn't work. Should I try your method?

No.

•What happens during a hypnotherapeutic session?

First we talk about your objectives, and anything that you think is important for me to know.

For the actual hypnotherapy, the client usually stretches out on the sofa, and is covered with a blanket. I play a gentle meditation music/sound (Aeoliah's Angel Love) and the client closes their eyes. The client is guided into a relaxed state of body and mind using autogenics, which is verbal suggestion and imagery. I do not use a flame or pendulum.

At the end of the relaxation phase, the client hears me invite the Higher Self to guide them on a healing journey, to help them experience what is most important that day for their well-being and highest purpose. I do not mention the specific issue that brought you to the session. That is because the Higher Self knows what the real issue is, and what to do about it. I trust and let go to the wisdom of the Higher Self.

During the session, the client keeps their eyes closed. The client might experience light and colors, bodily sensations, great emotion, images, visions, memories and messages. From time to time I ask the client what is happening so I can continue to guide the session and work with the Higher Self.  Therefore, we speak during the session, although it is not a conversation.

• What should I expect to experience during the session, and as a result?

Some people have specific expectations of what should happen. Some people are hoping for magic or instant and painless transformations. Hypnotherapy is not magic. There is nothing that is supposed to happen. Hypnotherapy can be a path to the depths of one's being, but the mind has to let go of expectations, judgments analysis and fear to get there.

This is a learning experience for the mind and usually requires time.

During a session, I also let go — of what I think you "should" do, experience or think.  I let go to the wisdom of your Higher Self. People heal themselves.  I am merely a facilitator.

• Can you take me back to a past life?

I do not regress clients to past lives even if they specifically request it unless they have already visited a past life in a previous session with me. The reason is that I do not manipulate the client by suggesting what they should experience, think or do. I work with the Higher Self who I trust to guide the client in the most appropriate way. If this is to visit a past life, that's absolutely fine, but it must happen spontaneously, not by my manipulation. I do not promote past life regression because the vast majority of my clients have enough to deal with in this lifetime.

• I am working with a psychotherapist who I like but we have hit an impasse and I feel there is something deeper going on that we are not accessing with talk therapy. Could I try one or a few hypnotherapy sessions to see if there is something important buried inside? Do I have to switch to you as my main therapist for that?

I often work in tandem with psychotherapists to help "unblock" a client with a few hypnotherapeutic sessions. The client does not have to switch to me as their main therapist.
